The Iraqi army prevented the council of Salah al-Din province from meeting, apparently on orders from Prime Minister Maliki. I suspect this sort of confrontation is the wave of the future.

F**k Iraq!

The U.S.A invades Iraq under totally bullshit pretences. Thousands of service members die ghastly deaths. Untold tens of thousands more suffer horrific physical and psychological wounds. Hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer's money has been wasted on a shit hole inhabited by a bunch of ingrates, who couldn't find the U.S.A on a globe! And worst of all, the CHICOMs got a sweet oil deal from the corrupt Iraqi "government!" I say F**ck Iraq! FF.

Maybe we are competing in the wrong arena...

"And worst of all, the CHICOMs got a sweet oil deal..."

GP, you have instinctively posed the perspective.

We in our national security, fiscal management, and internecine political warfare are broadly distracted from a bill collector who is extracting our power one IOU at a time.

Our Thebes is doing quite well as Democratic Athens and Republican Sparta play a scorpion standoff.

BTW, if the Pirate awakes, tell him the EU just voted to shutoff the SWIFT access to monitoring very dirty money cleaning, clearing and protection operation by a people best left to chocolate development, small kingdom and island maintenance only.
