At least he didn't get Swift Boated.

I did not spend much time in Khaniqin, but I recall it being a very heterogeneous mix of Sunni, Shia, Arab, and Kurd in a relatively small location. When some (outside) faction is trying to stir up ethnic, sectarian, or other rivalries, those fault lines are prime targets.
