And I don't mean Sarah Palin. Judith "WMD" Miller has an opinion piece in today's Los Angeles Times. No, I ain't linking to it.

I guess the leper colonies of Africa refused her application to volunteer.

That says it all! Only in American does it mean OK.

That brief about being vulnerable to hostile sources...

The one proposed by the colonel for people with an affinity vulnerability to a common culture or religion.

Perhaps, Judith had a latent affinity to power or fame.

There may be a special place

In Dante's hierarchy for someone who sold a war on false pretense with such gusto, but Miller share's bylines with Shanker, Sanger, Gordon, and was an ad-selling star, along with opinionaters like flathead Tom Friedman.

Mr Ricks may be able to point to p.8 or p.18 corrections to the 'NYT says WH says NYT repeats what Irv Libby told Judy Miller' drumbeat. But there is a measure of the controlled alcoholic calling the pothead a stoner, in any WaPo self righteousness.

Ask 'How' Washington's legions got stuck in Mesopotamia, not 'Who' chiseled the 'Great Leader' inscription on Ceasar's nephew's plynth.

Awful convenient to damn Judy Miller now

[I agree with Walking, but this comment took off towards critique of Tom. Again? Yes, again. I hope he can bounce back after a couple of months of lousy posts.]

Tom - Let's get this straight - absent Judy Miller's articles, we would have still invaded Iraq under false pretenses. Sure, what she did was bad, but public life black-balling bad? She'll never get a reporting gig again, isn't that punishment enough?

And what she did was a trifle compared to the administration. Bush 43, Cheney, Powell, Rice, Rumsfeld. Would you shun an op-ed written by any of these?

Methinks thou dost protest too much.

Agreed, quite sensible

Only one quibble, which is almost ubiquitous in what I've read, is to treat the presentation quote "We love death more than you love life" as if it comes uncritically from Hasan's mouth. We have no idea what his remarks were at the presentation. He could have said this is how some Muslims think.

She never left, Tom

She's just been haunting the sidelines. There is no faulting her writing ability, just her choice of topics. And as Oldpilot notes, this isn't a bad article - although she should be careful, she could lose her Faux News press badge if she continues to sound logical on topics such as these.
