Iran Rev Guards charge Pakistan soft on terror!

Get this: Iran's Revolutionary Guards are angry at Pakistan for arresting and then quickly releasing a leader of the anti-Tehran Sunni rebels, Dawn of Pakistan reports.
Some 42 people died last month in a bombing the rebel group claimed to have perpetrated. "How is it possible that this guy can move freely [unless he is] under the protection of the intelligence services?" righteously inquires the most honorable Brigadier General Hossein Salami, the no. 2 guy in the Guards. (What's the no. 3 guy, Col. Pepperoni?)
It is a little odd to see both the United States and Iran cranky with Pakistan over related issues of harboring bad actors. Maybe Washington, Tehran and Delhi can form an anti-ISI alliance? I admit to just sitting back and enjoying this. OK, I feel a twinge of guilt. But just a twinge.

Actually, there are a lot of very good reasons why Washington, Tehran and New Delhi should form an anti-ISI alliance. I'd throw Beijing into that mix too, and given the number of dead Uzbek insurgents, a secondary circle should consist of Washington, Moscow, Astana, Dushanbe, and Ashgabat.
It's 2009 - not 1979. Maybe it's time for American foreign policy to move past Cold War feuds and accept today's more fluid state.
I wonder if the Iranians see
I wonder if the Iranians see any of the irony in the situation.
Pot? You there? This is a message from the Kettle, you're black.
What next?
I'm waiting for the Mullahs to issue a statement condemning the tainted election in Afghanistan.
COUNTER PROPAGANDA
Pakistan says it has been getting no U.S. help in the South Waziristan offensive and officials have criticized U.S. forces in Afghanistan for abandoning checkpoints over the border, which they said opened up escape routes for fleeing insurgents. Our fight is with Al Qaeda/Taliban in Pakistan and our NATO forces should deploy there. The U.S. has been deficient in implementing counter propaganda programs. One could make videos, posters, flyers’ and leaflets depicting the truth to counter Al Qaeda’s/Taliban propaganda. We could send a flyer out that says if the terrorists who plotted the bombings in the cities do not turn themselves in to the Pakistan government they will run the risk of a Predator attack. There could be flyers showing what the world has built and funded for the Pakistan people. The aid in schools, electric plants, food and medical support that the world has contributed should be presented for the populace of Pakistan. We need to show Pakistan and Afghanistan that we are not at war with Muslims and in fact have Islamic Muslims living and worshiping in Temples built in the U.S. We need to ask what has the Al Qaeda/Taliban built for them and what kind of money has it kicked into improving their lives
atleast call a spade a spade
It is very strange rather amusing when I read such posts, concluded with irrational effects. Feel free to make an anti ISI - alliance or any other association but, before doing that lets just get few things straight here. Americans needed the help of same ISI to work against soviet invasion, and today all these Frankenstein which we see as a greater threat to mankind are built in the remote facilities of corporation working inside Washington. Even the Islamic radical doctrine that has been such a burning debate in social circles these days was used first as a fuel to the antipathy against Soviet Union and communism in particular. These very Madrassahs and Mullahs were funded by CIA joined forces to induct more and more people from around the Middle East and turn them into mercenaries in the name of religion. So I think there is a greater need to make an Anti-CIA alliance rather than ISI. Now let’s shift it a bit, if US forces attack Afghanistan or Iraq for that matter to save America from terrorism threat it becomes Heroic. Why on the parallel lines of national interest if ISI or Pakistani forces does anything it becomes hostile. If your argument would be that these calculation are relative than at least journalism supports no relativity rather facts. If 2 into 2 makes 4 in Washington so does it in Islamabad. Now let’s come to Iran, she has a border with Afghanistan where Taliban are not very friendly towards her shia population and neither Iran ever supported them back in history so they have their grievances against each other. On the other side US – Iran tension is not anything hidden. Above all Since when we have started to give credits to Iranian government on her statement. They always have a contradictory version of everything. Defying NPT clause 4 they still want to abide by clause 2 to have Nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. If, we never have given legitimacy to their allegation against US funneling funds into recent unrest in Tehran against Ahmad-e-Nijad, why we have to focus on their statements now, only because it involves Pakistan. Indians also need to quit from Afghanistan, because I do not see any reason for large spreading Indian consulates in Afghan territory other than destabilizing Pakistan even US army have recognized this fact, and this can instigate a destabilizing affect in Afghanistan too. I think it has become more like a fashion for countries to blame Pakistan for everything and never look into their own systems and disparity among their own populace. I think Pakistan is the only country at this instance which is facing the music at front and giving sacrifices mounting everyday in number of deaths and financial resources, for the evil doings of Capital West. I believe in such a difficult situation there would not be a single element in Pakistan Military or let's say ISI who would like to be part of any such hostile activity which can deteriorate its relationships with neighboring countries. In particular Iran which has a history of relations tied with Pakistan and general public sees Iran as a friendly country because of its cultural and religious similarities. It is very essential for Pakistan to be stable for rest of the world to have peace and stability and even US government recognizes this fact. I do not see any reason why Hilary Clinton has to travel all the way down to visit our Cultural heritage, if it is not about winning our support and cordial gestures. So, if you think about reducing the trust deficit towards Pakistan, and people of Pakistan than stop sending such conclusion and better respect our efforts. Media and western Intelligentia is in a very credible position to do so. It is time to keep a side the myth of ‘Clash of Civilization’ for time and work together not in anti – So or So postures. West need to focus more on the Clash within its own society rather than Islam because as Fukuyama said all these so called culprits have been groomed in a very civilized west and not in Islamic societies.

PAKISTAN
Pakistan's army has pitted some 30,000 troops against up to 8,000 militants, including many Uzbeks and other foreign insurgents who have long taken refuge in the lawless tribal areas. Pakistan says it has been getting no U.S. help in the South Waziristan offensive and officials have criticized U.S. forces in Afghanistan for abandoning checkpoints over the border, which they said opened up escape routes for fleeing insurgents. Our fight is with Al Qaeda/Taliban in Pakistan who are the most dangerous terrorists in the world and our NATO forces should deploy there. The Al Qaeda are not just training insurgents, they are training terrorists for deployment to America and its allies. Our NATO forces should be looking for explosives and bomb making equipment and weapons in the border provinces of Pakistan. ZAZI the caught American terrorists trained in Pakistan. In retrospect, the Pakistani Taliban despises any Afghan or Pakistani that helps the U.S. In fact, it is reported that the Ammonium Nitrate used in the explosive IED’S comes not from Afghanistan but from Pakistan. With the recent attack in the city of Adazai, Pakistan that has killed the Mayor (Abdul Malik), realistically, should provide the political momentum to motivate the U.N. to send NATO forces into the region.
No doubt, the U.S. and NATO forces have been deficient in implementing counter propaganda programs. One could make videos, posters, flyers’ and leaflets depicting the truth to counter Al Qaeda’s/Taliban’s propaganda. We could send a flyer out that says if the terrorists who plotted the bombings in the cities do not turn themselves in to the Pakistan government they will run the risk of a Predator attack. There could be flyers showing what the world has built and funded for the Pakistan/Afghan people. The aid in schools, electric plants, food and medical support that the world has contributed should be presented for the populace of Pakistan. We need to show Pakistan and Afghanistan that we are not at war with Muslims and in fact have Islamic Muslims living and worshiping in Temples built in the countries of the coalition forces. We need to ask what has the Al Qaeda/Taliban built for them and what kind of money has it kicked into improving their lives?
Also deficient, the vetting processes the Afghanistan government and collation forces have used in the recruitment of Army and Police personnel. We could use the polygraph, voice stress tests, and finger printing to determine if the recruited has or does have ties to extremist groups or if they hate foreign forces and Americas allies. Additionally, we need to find out their birth place and if they had any training in Iran. Where have the recruits lived and who are their neighbors? DNA samples could be taken to determine the recruit’s true national origin. We need to make a concerted effort to find out the backgrounds of the individuals we train and patrol with in Afghanistan. Anti-Americanism and misdirected anger towards the collation forces is widespread and profound. If the recruits and insurgents blow themselves up in the large cities that we aim to secure, the Afghan and Pakistani tensions will only intensify.
