The New York Times discloses today that earlier this year, Gen. Petraeus was treated for prostate cancer. No wonder he looked a little peaked lately. This may also partly explain his relatively low profile on Afghanistan.

Dave's fitness for duty is now in question. He should retire for the sake of his health. He needs rest in order to fight his cancer.
Might you elaborate on your insight into the general's physical profile on fitness for full duty? I hadn't heard public or back channel this was an issue to date. Or are there other issues you'd like to share of an ad-hom nature?
